I'm still kind of torn on wanting to just be that one season of fluffy goodness. So many other shows would have had the main character crack when the life around him falters (Side note I really enjoyed Kidding with Jim Carrey/Judy Greer/Frank Langella).

I agree about the one season part. Selfishly I want more episodes, but deep down I worry that the "fluffy goodness" as you call it, may not be as charming the second time around.

Yeah a lot of the joy I think was watching everyone eventually come around to Ted. You're not really going to be able to replicate that in future seasons. Still I guess the creators of the show have earned the benefit of the doubt. There could be stories that can be told that don't revolve around that as much. Season 1 was wayyyy better than I would have ever imagined.

herman said:That they spun off (and modernized) a heartwarming series off of an ad campaign is amazing.
CarltonTheBear said:Dr. Oz standing where Alex Trebek once stood, even if just temporarily, is pretty gross.
CarltonTheBear said:I knew that it was based off that ad campaign but I had never actually watched it before now. Neat to see how they kept/adapted some of the jokes there, and how they changed some of his personality a bit. Also cool that they kept the same actor for Coach Beard.

It does get me quite excited for the Leafs Amazon Prime series. I want to know who is the grumpy cat. I also want to know ifNylanderSpezza skates around like a golden retriever chanting "hockey is life!"
Nik said:I can see why it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea but WandaVision is kind of growing on me as a way Disney+ can use the MCU to maybe not do the big blockbustery things the Mandalorian is but as a venue for telling smaller stories about the characters that aren't likely to get their own movies.
And obviously (mild spoiler) the big thing at the end of episode 5 is interesting on a larger scale.
