Keep in mind that there are 32 games to go before playoffs. Regular season ends April 29th and playoffs start May 2. That's 65 days away until the end of the season. Is Muzz going to be out that long? He could be ready in a month and then what do you do? He can't sit for 65 days and be any use in the playoffs. He'll be so out of game shape by then. I suggest the Leafs go grab Chychrun if they can because he can replace Muzz should the need arise and if Muzz is good to go, put him on the 3rd pairing with Sandin. Lyubuskin can play with Chychrun.
I think the goalies will be fine by then.
It's also his 2nd concussion in a relatively short time span. Him being out for 2 months+ is definitely not out of the question here. In fact, given that and the fact it never felt like he truly recovered from the first concussion (and, based on his poor play this season, perhaps he's dealing with other minor injuries), it would not shock me in the slightest if he's done for the rest of the regular season.
As for the Fleury thing, as of right now, this still does not give the Leafs that kind of space. When going into LTIR space, teams need to be able to fit the full amount of a player's cap hit, not the prorated amount that they'd usually need to be able to fit. Muzzin on LTIR really means the Leafs can add another ~$5.5M contract without moving salary out (assuming Muzz is done for the year, of course).
