Anyone been around here 10 yrs?

I don't remember the exact year but it's probably been 10-12 years at least.  Funny thing I was looking for a place to talk Leafs and another hockey board site declined my registration request (like what?), then I found this place and never looked back.

Last year was the first in a while that I didn't watch most of the games, too awful to sit through even though I was all for the tank, but I'm cautiously optimistic that the team will be much more fun to watch starting this year.

Just stopped by for a visit after a long absence & noticed this thread.  I started here as a Flyers fan during the 2003 playoffs, & had the pleasure of interacting with everyone here during the Flyers/Leafs series in both 2003 & 2004.  After that, I got to know many of the posters here & stayed around.  The rules were different back then.....plenty of big personalities on the board.  Verbal jousting was both art & entertainment in those days.  Good times without a doubt.  We even had political threads, the famous gay marriage argument thread, & yearly poster awards.  Once the previous board crashed was about the time that I was here less frequently.

I don't get here very often anymore, given that my job & basically life in general have gotten more demanding.  The Austin Matthews game last night made me think of this place again.  Both the Leafs & Flyers are on the upswing now with infusions of good young talent.  Hopefully, they meet in the playoffs again & make new memories that rival the days of Sundin, Domi, Darcy Tucker, Roenick, Sami K, etc.

Ha, you just brought back some good memories from years gone back.  Stop by anytime!

Good to see you too AlmosGirl.  Whatever happened to old cw....I noticed that he hasn't been on here for a while.  Hopefully, he's OK.

I think i first appeared around 2004, but hardly post. I had to re-register when I came back on again this year. I have always been a interested reader from afar.

I'd say it was late 2002 for me originally, it was the Leafs playoff run in 2002 that really sparked my interest. I've had a big gap between posts though!

I started visiting during the Rivals days and remember when it switched over to tmlfans. I haven't been around much in the last couple of years, though, and just happened in today for a visit. Really appreciate all the hard work you put into the site over the years Rick (and Darryl, and Jay...).

Anyone remember Mikeinbuffalo ?

Mike Augello, he used to be a frequent caller to Leafs Talk with Andy Frost back in the day as well. He is the Leafs blogger for Eklund these days.

Speaking of guys named Mike, remember Mike in NYC? Interesting fellow, had a thing for streetcars and trains along with being a Leafs fan.

When I started mgro was a regular (maybe around 2000?). I started as Silverleaf, changed to Leaflifer, and now I'm Mostar (named after a road near me).

We had some good flyer trolls back then. Anyone remember Salzy?

I backed off the forum quite a bit because I loathed Burke (as a GM). and had nothing good to say, but I've certainly kept a close eye on this team and couldn't be happier now.
