Coronavirus

Was able to book an appointment for next Wednesday. Very happy to be getting my first shot a lot earlier than I would have guessed at the start of the year. Also:

I'm very happy for you, but 100% against bears getting vaccinated before humans.

I think they are finding some real problems with the AZ vaccine, a good friend of my sister, has her 50 year old son in hospital, he began experiencing bad head aches a hour after the jab, about two weeks later started to exhibit some violent behaviour and now in hospital.
On my part, I got my AZ jab a month ago, a week ago I began experiencing some eye trouble in my right eye, very fuzzy, very concerning. May not be related at all as going through a lot of stress at the moment, but am seeing an eye doctor on Saturday AM.  Will let you know if he thinks or knows it is AZ related.
I had a feeling should have waited for Pfizer or Moderno.

Update, saw eye doc yesterday, nothing to do with AZ vaccine, however I do have a cataract forming that will have to be operated on down the road. A real relief actually.

Well, the important thing is that we keep suggesting that any and all health problems anyone has after getting vaccinated may be a result of the vaccine.

I agree Nik, however the loss of vision in my eye was very dramatic over a short period.  The mind does tend to play tricks with worry. For what its worth I would take a 2nd AZ shot to hopefully finish the vaccination process.

First AZ vaccine was cancelled a couple weeks ago. I've now rebooked for May 25th for Pfizer or Moderna. Myself and my 12 year old are the last two in the family without the first jab.

Why Canada's big bets on delaying, mixing doses of COVID-19 vaccines could pay off

Just read in the Sun that the Feds are sitting on 600,000 doses of the AZ vaccine which should be given within 12 weeks at most of the first dose.  According to the article mixing and matching Mrna vaccines with AZ is not a good idea.  Not enough hard science at this point.

As I mentioned in my last post, I am very open to a 2nd dose of AZ where the research shows if clotting was not an issue with the first AZ shot, it will be infinitesimal with the 2nd dose.

My 28 years old son got the Pfizer shot yesterday, they moved him up a week as he is supposed to be in Jasper to start a Chef  gig.  Already been pushed back on that position for over a month now so hope they open up Alberta.
All I know is I want to start working again asap.
