I can't remember any odd-man rushes or breakways for them, and only that one sustained sequence in the 3rd when we were hemmed in. Our D deserves credit for a good game, but as others have said, let's see how things go against a quality team.
I hope Reimer gets the start on Monday.

Ducks 5-0 over canucks. Schneider chased after letting in 4 goals on first
8 shots.
Yee hah...!
No kidding, guy just comes in with the pressure of Leaf Nation on his back, with all the Luongo rumours swirling around and a surprise start over Reimer in a building tough to play in on opening night even against a weak Habs team. What did he do, he was solid, no weak goals, did what most good defences allow there goalies to do and that is shine. So is that Scrivens fault, is it his fault that he wasn't peppered and forced to steal a game. I can remember many nights that a bad performance in goal translated into a Leaf loss despite a deserved victory from the rest of the troops. Scratching my head here. If you mean that most goalie SO's are due to a goalie standing on his head, well that for the most part isn't always the case, usually it is a team effort.WhatIfGodWasALeaf said:Zanzibar Buck-Buck McFate said:In all honesty, Scrivens didn't deserve a shutout. All I meant was that if he had gotten a shutout, it would have been much more due to the poor play of the Habs than to his own stellar play. He looked shaky at times. But he did hang on and get the W so I am certainly not inclined to rag on him too awful much.
Still would like to see what Reimer looks like next game.

It was boarding, though, not hitting from behind.
TML fan said:I was surprised to see Kadri got as little ice time as he did. I definitely noticed him when he was on the ice, and it felt like he was out there a lot.
I thought Liles had a really strong game. Made a couple of nice offensive and defensive plays, but was largely unnoticeable, which is a good thing for defencemen
I was thoroughly unimpressed with van Riemsdyk. I thought he was the worst player on the ice, possibly for both teams. I know it's early so I'm not jumping to conclusions. Plus he might still be bothered by that bruise.

Why not?: "he likes his competitiveness" or "he likes how hard he competes"
