Anyone who is still in Gus' corner....why?  He has shown the same lack of confidence since he came to the NHL.  He doesn't position himself well.

Because he has the potential to develop an elite skillset and has experienced a tsunami of issues.

He gets run over well though, eh?

I just can't agree.  Elite skill set comes from having great positioning.  Gus doesn't know where he is on the ice, he loses the post way too quickly.

So why no penalty?

I think it's always a discretion issue with goals called off due to goaltender interference.  I'm guessing the ref thought Komisarek helped him into Gustavsson, so decided the goal would be unfair to count, but didn't think it warranted a penalty.

Something like that.

He really has no confidence.  I dont think the team has much in him either.

What the excuse now though? He's gotten the starts recently. I think he needs to down to the Marlues for a stint.

Good luck with the waiver wire.

Oh I know. But the guy needs to find his form and in a less pressurized environment. I don't know the answer, but it ain't working here for whatever reason.

Honestly, not likely to be in an issue. He had a good game against Philly, but, outside of that, he hasn't looked better than the types of goalies other teams have as their backups already - except for maybe Columbus, who don't have the cap space to fit him in.

You should see the goal Boston scored on Montreal. Embarassingly bad. Right off the face off, sliding on the ice like a pass and right into the net.

I mean, you can just watch Gus, he has trouble finding the post after he comes out of the net, he doesnt know his angles.

There's a difference between 'knowing' your angles and 'knowing your angles by instinct', Jonas needs work, no doubt, but you're piling on the back up ffs and it's 1-0, honestly what do you expect?

Why am I not seeing this critique of Reimer en masse either, he's had his share of issues but somehow gets a pass, la vie en blue et blanc? Maybe a 'grass is greener', not sure.
