Chicago. McHuberNeill?

It'd make me think, although I don't know too much about McNeill. Still, I doubt any team will trade their top prospect for soon-to-be UFA. And I doubt Burke trades Grabs for anything short of a teams top prospect.

what's going on?  we're not trade grabs for a second round draft pick..that's just stupid

I agree... but, like it was suggested, if there is a deal to be had for a big time player and we're going to empty the magazine on him, dealing Grabo for futures replaces a couple of bullets. Otherwise, no, I wouldn't trade him either.

I don't know a lick about him either... I've just started to take a look at some teams who might be a fit for Grabs and some of their prospects. McNeill just kind of jumped out at me.

When we recieved Gardiner not many had him as Anaheim's top prospect, but Burke saw something and maybe knew he was close, it might be that type of prospect he has his eyes on again.

Just to give you an idea of how good Grabbo is defensively, last two seasons in a row he lead the forwards in +- despite playing against the other teams top lines on most nights. Two years ago he was second on the team only to Gunnar who went on that + tear at one point in the season when everyone was hyping him up. Last year was particularly impressive as he lead the entire team with a +14 and the next closest player was +8. This year he is 4th among forwards with two forwards at +6 and one at +7. Two of those forwards are Kessel and Lupul, who have both produced atleast 13 more points at even strength and don't play against the other teams top lines nearly as much as Grabbo. On top of that, Grabbo self admittedly didn't pay as much attention to defence in the first half of the season as he did in previous seasons and despite all of that he is still only +2 away form leading the team.

Is there somewhere you've found info on who lines up against a teams top lines?

So Dominc Moore garners a 2nd rounder. Nicklas Grossman yields a 2nd and a 3rd.

Grabovski isn't getting traded for a 2nd unless that prospect coming back is a flat out stud 'A' prospect.

I think there are places you can find this out such as:  http://behindthenet.ca/

If you want to watch for it, it is much easier to do when the Leafs are at home and Wilson has the last change.  I do think you'll see that he tries to get Grabbo and Kulemin out there when he can against the other teams top offensive line.  I believe I started noticing him do that in the second half of last year.

My sentiments exactly.

Earlier comments around Grabovski's value at $5M or so should consider the Plekanec contract in Montreal.  Also, a recent article I read used comparables - quite astutely, I think - like Patrice Bergeron and even Brandon Dubinsky to gauge Grabovski's value.  When I look at the landscape, I can't help but think $5M is a good deal.

To me, Grabovski is a pilar of this team's forward group for years to come.  Unless it's blue chipper coming back, I hope Burke signs Grabovski to an extension.

Interesting choice of word.  ;D

In all seriousness I think he is going to B-lumme in the blue and white...
