kristen_shilton: Leivo will keep practicing and is not cleared to play per Babcock

There it is - Leivo is still on the IR.

Because saying "we honestly just don't know what to do with him" would have probably been a little shady.

The Dude didn't say that, Kenny Rogers did.

To be fair, a lot of people have said it. Kenny Rogers wasn't even the first - Mickey Newbury was. Rogers just made it famous.

That's a deep songwriting dive there.

Corrado is 100% healthy, but not in Babcock's heart.

Mike Babcock says Martin Marincin is "out for a bit."

Or, as Left Wing Lock put it: Martin Marincin is expected to miss an undisclosed amount of time with an undisclosed injury.

Don't worry. All this subterfuge is bound to pay off big according to their three step plan.

Step One: Don't Disclose Injuries
Step Two: ?? ?? ??
Step Three: None of your business

I'll laugh/weep when we sustain another injury and then call up Justin Holl to play over Corrado.

Does that chart mean Hunwick is our best defenseman and Rielly is the worst?  I'm so confused now.

That chart means that GF% isn't a great statistic, especially in that small of a sample size. The author just doesn't get that. It's one of the more heated debate topics in the analytics community.

I should have pointed out he's a LeafHub'er, so to not actually go exploring through his feed.

Too late, man. I actually had no idea Leafs Hub existed before so the warning probably would not have been heeded anyway (I like to explore). I understand there is a spectrum of belief in most things, but I didn't quite realize there would be one for facts. It's quite interesting.

And having gone through his feed, I now recognize where this guy's argument is coming from and why his super common name sounded so familiar. He's the one that responded to omgitsdomi's post about the 2% with a lot of small-sample GF%. Small-sample GF% is just statistical static.

His main argument for sticking with GF% is that replacing Hunlak with other 5/6D would not get the same GF% performance.
