What, if anything, does it mean when we talk about Colbourne, Frattin etc. and not one mention is made of Kadri? What does the future hold for him?

Not much considering he has played more NHL games than both of them combined thus far and is 2 years younger than Frattin and the same age as Colborne.  Both of those guys could just as easily be in the same position Kadri is in a year.

All it means is Kadri needs to find some consistency and find that next gear in the NHL.  Hopefully he does.

Bus rides. Lots of 'em.

That, or playing for Carolina or Calgary.

One change to Leaf lines at practice: Steckel flips to 3rd line centre with Lombardi and Frattin. Crabb drops to 4th with Dupuis and Brown.

Re-arranging chairs on the Titanic. Bottom 6 is a scoring vacuum.

Earlier in this thread we were talking about UFAs.

This is a fantasy/rankings look at the best of the crop so far (not that I think fantasy/ranking stats are the greatest ..)

Connolly is #30 (lol  ;D)

Ignoring hindsight to some degree, it's not like there's a ton of them that fit the "that's the one that got away" profile

Yup, and most fit that "wow this guy is actually panning out?" or "how did THAT guy suddenly get good?" profile... ie: Smith, Ryder, Theodore, Elliot, Wellwood....

Aside from Columbus' GM, who said "$33 mil for James Wisniewski? Great deal!!" ?

Of course everyone knew Brian Elliott was an awesome stopper and folks fell out of their chairs trying to grab Souray off waivers!!  :)

Aside from Kopecky whom I like, I was intrigued with taking a flier on Fleischmann, but his heart condition scared me a lot worse than Connolly's just being injury prone-ish.

Komisarek & Reimer not at practice today per twitter.

Connolly skating before practice.

Let's hope all the doors and windows are closed at the arena. Wouldn't want the draft to injure him.

Is there any way possible that Connolly doesn't become the new whipping boy this year?

Yeah, he plays.

And yet Colby isn't the whipping boy. No offense, but this is a pretty ludicrous double standard.

I think the difference between Army and Connolly is with Army, there wasn't a long list of injury concerns with him when we signed him.

That's a fair point.

The other part that's a little over the top to me is some of the venom with the criticism from a few folks (not necessarily on this site). Connolly gets paid a fair amount and seems to get hurt a lot. Beyond expressing disappointment, etc, a few  fans really seem to almost hate the guy for it when he gets hurt - a pretty nasty tone.

I don't know if I'll ever completely understand that reaction.
