Official meeting place of the Kadri Cadre

Nazem "The Dream" Kadri has arrived.

8 points in his last 3 games has made him soar to the top-10 in scoring. With 33 points in 31 games he sits 8th, and ahead of everyone in the NHL not named Getzlaf, Staal, Kane, St. Louis, Kunitz, Stamkos, and Crosby. With the exception of Chris Stewart, Kadri is also playing significantly less minutes than anyone else in the top 40 in NHL scoring.

Has Toronto's long-coveted 1st line centre been under our nose the whole time? If Kadri keeps up this PPG+ pace it's going to be hard to answer "no" to the question.

If he can build a little more strength and not solely rely on his agility he can be a true #1. You need that strength to contain other top players when you don't have the puck.

I know a solution.  Why not have both players where Leaf uniforms??

:D

And ahead of a couple guys named Staal and one named Kane.

He's passed every test so far.  Next will be to give him more and tougher minutes and see how he responds.  Great thus far.

Like I said in the GDT, Kadri has seen an increase in ice time in the last few games and he has increased his point production to reflect the added minutes.  RC said in a past interview that the reason Kadri was doing well was that he was getting only 15 minutes of ice time.  Kadri said I will show you Mr. Carlyle.

Other than against Buffalo, it hasn't really gone up (and if it has those other games, it barely has): http://mapleleafs.nhl.com/club/player.htm?id=8475172&season=20122013&view=gamelog

Your right, seems like I have seen a lot more of him the last 3 games and hadn't really checked to verify this.  I know the game before Buffalo against TBL he was seeing a lot of the Stamkos line so I figured his minutes had changed more.

A Lebanese friend of mine made it a point to me that apprently his name is constantly being mispronounced.  Apparently, it's "kHa-dri" with a hard "H" and the "K" is nearly silent.

The more you know... :)

And I'll just leave this here:

Nazem Kadri is second only to Crosby in points/60, assists/60 and first assists/60. http://bit.ly/ZEBeEK

Shall we label him "inconsistent" if he doesnt maintain /at least/ second place in these metrics next year?

That's pretty stunning, if he maintains close to this pace will people start talking about him for end of season awards?

How good is his jersey going to look hanging from the rafters?

Considering the years Crosby and Stamkos are having? Probably not.

Can I get a family discount on Kadri jerseys? (I will require 23 jerseys of various sizes)

I think we're all getting a little carried away with this kid. Show me at least 1 entire 82 game schedule of him playing like he has been this shortened season, and than we can open up that 25 year old bottle scotch I've been saving.

There will be peaks and valleys, and I would be truly astonished if this isn't one of the peaks.
