The last time the Sharks missed the playoffs was the year they traded Owen Nolan to the Leafs.

The Sharks, jokes about choking in the playoffs aside, are probably the most successful franchise to come into the league post-1990 and certainly the best counter-point to anyone who says the game can't work in a non-traditional market.

Yup, Sharks got 1755 pts. in 1682 games (.522) which places them ahead of Anaheim but behind Nashville, while for example the Leafs got 6311 pts. in 6195 games (.509)

markhmasters: Sharks lead NHL in shots per game (35.8); Leafs allow the most (35.9)

Well, that's a recipe for success.

What's the over/under for shots? 60?

If McLaren and Orr are both in the lineup again I hope Toronto gets smoked 8-0. Honestly, at this point one has to assume that there is something really serious going on behind the scenes. I can't fathom any reasoning of why they'd both be in the lineup. It's akin to choosing to decline a powerplay or ice a line up without a backup goaltender. That's how much sense it makes.
