I have to be honest, I thought it was a pretty weak show for them. I'm a fan but this whole thing seemed like it was building to a huge conclusion and then it fizzled with almost no appreciable consequence.
I still doubt that it does much in the way of Emmy voting. I still think it's a notch below Breaking Bad, Mad Men and Justified to name a few.
Sucker Punch said:I'm kinda with you on that. Not much happened in the finale. They revealed the twist near the beginning, then the rest of the episode you just watched everything fall into place as expected.
Tigger said:It's the initial meet that mattered more so than an ongoing dependency on Clay I think, they had their protocol for that particular moment given who they trusted.

Nah, that doesn't work. SPOILER If it's just about making that initial meet and then the Irish are willing to deal with Jax then why would Jax go to the Hospital and tell Clay all he knows? Why not let him make that meet and then kill him? This was set up so that Jax can't kill Clay.
Tigger said:The Irish said they didn't know/trust Jax, that could change and make Clay expendable, all Jax knows at the time is what the Irish are saying has to happen to make the deal work in the here and now ( so to speak ).
Tigger said:Also, Clay is a popular character and the powers that be may be thinking his arc could be more useful to the story otherwise. ( which doesn't make the writing any better, just a consideration ).

Not quite. I had forgotten about it, but remember when Opie shot Clay, and they blamed the black dudes on it, and Tig tried to run 'em down? Apparently that girl that was killed was the daughter of some big time gangster.
I'm interested to see the Sons go up against some Bloods/Crips type street gang.

It had the feel that Jimmy knew what was coming for awhile and he accepted it, for once someone was one step ahead of Nuck. Look for Chaulky to be the protagonist to Nuck next year with Jimmy doing good by Chaulky by giving him what he wanted and then some while Nuck did nothing for him.

For anyone not following the show, I strongly recommend watching last night's performance. Rachel aside, there a bunch of other really good talent there too.
I'm getting the feeling the Father will die in the season finale and a new family moves in for season two. Interesting concept if new people move in every season.Busta Reims said:Another game changer from American Horror Story this week. They're really just doing a full-on sprint to the end of the season.
