The Official TV Thread

The joys of binge watching House of Cards season 3 has now been replaced by the sadness that I will have to wait another year for more episodes.

Anyone else watch The Jinx? If you haven't and are into documentaries/True Crime at all I'd recommend it pretty highly. Pretty incredible story and the ending was downright remarkable.

It was fantastic.

Very early on he said something that raised a massive red flag, he was asked about a search of a lake near his house and he responded that they where "looking for her body parts" or words to that effect.

At no point was the subject of her being less than whole ever touched on, it really gave me chills.

Yeah, the interviews with him were really some of the most disturbing things I've ever seen. It's been fun afterwards to read up on some of the things that the series didn't touch on that paint an even more bizarre picture of him.

Really enjoying the two new comedies; 'Last man on earth' and 'man seeking woman.' The latter is so creative and the finale was absolutely fantastic. The former is a cool premise headed by a great Will Forte and Kristen Schaal.

Both are probably not for everyone but it's good to see some actual quality and creative comedies on t.v.

I'm really interested in Last Man on Earth. Aside from not looking or sounding like anything you'd typically see on TV it presents an interesting question. So far they've sort of gotten by with throwing hand grenades into the premise and SPOILER ended nearly every episode with a new character showing up and changing the dynamic. It'll be interesting to see what the show is like once they sort of settle in and try coming up with 13 or so episodes per year with an existing framework.

Man Seeking Woman was so incredibly over-the-top weird. I loved it.

Yea I'd definitely like to see what they can do with the premise aside from Phil trying to "SPOILER" obliviously court January Jones "END SPOILER"
There are alot of possibilities though and Forte is so good.

Anyone see the latest episode of 30 for 30 "I hate Christian Laettner" yet?
Nope but when it comes to Netflix I am sure I will. Still trying to shake the sleep off from the "Of Miracles and Men" probably the worst 30 for 30 I have watched.

Really?  I enjoyed that one.  Certainly gave me a new perspective of some of the oft-repeated myths surrounding the 72 Summit Series from a Canadian perspective.

Yeah, I thought it was fantastic.

I've always viewed that series through an obviously skewed Canadian lens. It was nice to be able to view it from both sides.

Also the history of Russian hockey was very interesting.

That autocorrect is most unfortunate.
