I'd totally forgotten about Troy Bodie. What a coincidence he was able to get another job with a Leiweke team, I'm sure it's got nothing to do with family connections.

Hah. It was rumoured he'd be leaving a week or so ago and I remember thinking literally "he had a pretty good run in the organization for what originally was clearly a nepotism hire". Had no idea Leiweke was part of the Seattle ownership too.

Tim Leiweke's brother (and therefore Bodie's wife's uncle) Tod is part-owner, president and CEO of the Kraken.

Who the heck writes it as Tod...

Leaf legend and all-star Tod Sloan, that's who!

Also, nobody else.

I wonder how much of an influence Brodie is going to have on who Seattle takes from Toronto.

This is absolutely the case where the parents wanted another 3-letter T name but thought Tom was too on the nose.

Naturally, there's a third brother named Tid.

Any update at all on Johny T?  How bad is his concussion?  Leg?  any info?

At least two weeks for his knee and he is going to be deconditioned from not being able to workout with his concussion.  I wouldn?t expect an update before that two week timeline

Of advancing teams thus far, looking at long term prospects for eventual re-seeding if the Leafs make it that far, Toronto had more regular season points than Tampa, Boston and NYI.

Assuming the Leafs get to the semi's (yada yada we shouldn't look ahead blah blah blah) and barring some comebacks and then upsets by Minnesota and/or Nashville... it would seem like the Leafs would be locked into facing the winner of the Carolina/Tampa series. The winner of the likely Colorado/Vegas series would get the top seed in the semi's and the winner of the Boston-New York series would get the 4th seed.

Apparently, Minnesota has some disagreement with your projections.

I didn't even realize there would be reseeding. It's kind of bizarre to think two teams from normally the same conference could be in the final.

I hope the fawning over Dubas finally stops. I?ve never been much of a fan, but I don?t want to see him fired. I want him to see this through the next 5+ years. But time to get ballsy and make a big trade. Enough of this cutesy backsliding on draft day business.

As for the coach, the exact same habits exist. Maybe, just maybe, Babcock wasn?t the issue (he wasn?t). Keefe?s a likeable guy and a player?s coach, but he?s been disappointing the last two playoff series.

Get well JT. I love you.

Remember when Sundin was shit on for being a bad captain who couldn?t lead? Remember when the Leafs needed to move on from him to rebuild? Remember when Sundin leaving the team would be for the betterment of the team and franchise? Remember when a chicken Swede shouldn?t have been named captain?

17+ years later and the franchise has yet to win a playoff series since the Sundin era. Hope people appreciate what he gave to this franchise as each day and year/season passes.
