It's ultimately on Keefe he's the head coach.lamajama said:Keefe et al need to be held highly accountable.
If the Leafs had an average powerplay the series was over in the Leafs favour.
Even if Malhotra is turfed, Keefe needs his knuckles rapped very hard. He could have demanded changes
but they just did not adapt - let alone adjust to what the Habs game plan was.

Voted on by the players so we know how they feel. We're lucky that we have one of the top players in the league.CarltonTheBear said:bustaheims said:I suspect the same thing will happen with the Hart. Top 3 votes, but distant 2nd to McD.
Thought MacKinnon would get the 3rd vote for this one and Crosby for the Hart, but yeah.
Easy signing and will be done. Love what he brings to the team.L K said:That's wonderful to hear. I mean I don't see how how he could be content ending his career at this point. I don't know if he can have another 30 points in 54GP season but I hope he can eek out 30 over 82 to hit 1000.

Thornton, gotta go. Simmonds - gotta go unless he signs a minimum contract and is content with platooning with some younger players. He can't be a fixture for another season.
He really didn't and that was very strange to watch. I remember commenting that he always seemed a step late when trying to hit, he'd wind up hitting the boards or have to pull up because he got there late. And when he did make contact he was often the one who went down. I think he has some value as a deterrent or intimidator because of his fighting ability, but he's really not a physical presence in the sense of throwing hits and making opponents pay that way.L K said:Chris said:Spezza looks like he could play and contribute for a couple more years.

Simmonds is a no-go for me even on a league minimum deal. I didn't need offense from him in the postseason but we absolutely needed physicality and he did not bring that in the least. The most memorable physical altercations he got into were getting hit hard by Montreal.
It was a great answer and a stupid question.herman said:LMAO Matthews is answering a question from Steve Simmons about his thoughts on allocating so much cap to certain players: "I don't know what that says, sorry"
