Game 45: Ottawa Senators vs Toronto Maple Leafs 7:00 SNET-O

Right on Millen totally agree. Turning point was the last minute of the 1st period just like I had mentioned. Top line shouldn't have been out their in my opinion. Gave the Sens some life I think because I think if we would have gone up 3-0 we win this game. Poor coaching decision and Wilson does it a lot.

I'll have to look at the replay, but I saw the puck on the half boards in front of him, not behind the Sens net.

When Gonchar gave the puck away to Lombardi, he was clearly coming out from behind the net. Connolly had left to go to the bench a fraction of a second before that happened.

I'm talking about the play immediately before that, not when the puck went behind the net after.

Again, what's a Sens fan doing on a Leafs centric board?

Talking about hockey?

There's a number of people that post here with opinions that I respect.

Right. You're here to stir up crap which you do a good job of knowing that cheering against the Leafs will get people upset.

Well, SP hardly needs me to defend him, but sorry, you're wrong. He does come here to talk hockey, not to 'stir up crap'. His choice of team to be a fan of may be questionable, but his contributions here are meaningful.

Even if his freakin' team did beat ours :(

I don't think there was much of a turning point, per say.  The Leafs have carried the play the entire game.

Got lucky on Alfie's goal when the Leafs all stopped playing for a second.  Clearly got away with one on Spezza's goal.  This game is all on Craig Anderson.

This loss has the feel of "disaster" written all over it.  It just puts extra pressure on them to win the next 3.  I can't see how they can make the playoffs if they can't post a winning record in ths 5-game homestand.

I can't believe this.

Sens are now 9-1-4 when tied after 2... And they have 6 come from behind wins when trailing.  Absolutely crazy.

We shoulda had this one.  This one stings.

Well the original comment had nothing to do with defending your team, but ok.

How can Sens fans defend this team?  Total garbage goal, outplayed the entire game, dirty ass attempt to injure that should have seen the guy tossed from the game.  This game has been a total disgrace from the officiating.

The Sens lost in the playoffs in the 2000's because you had terrible goaltending. That was the #1 reason. There weren't many games that were decided because of a bad call/missed goalie interference.

There was a game which was won when the refs didn't call a hit from behind on Tucker, and Alfie potted the winner.

But of course you're old enough to remember all of that.

Yep.

I also remember a ton of garbage goals against.
And I remember outplaying the Leafs the majority of the time despite losing.
And I remember the refs letting Corson, Tucker, Domi, Roberts, et al get away with murder.

Hmmm, you suffered from dementia then?..... you must be very old now.

Sorry, but I don't think this is cool.

Sorry but this game has me in an extremely foul mood and listening to this drivel is too much to take right now even if it is coming from Sucker Punch.  Sucker is a good guy but this is trolling in my book and he needs to be called out on it.

The guy Connolly could have pressured was the guy in the corner who passed Gonchar the puck. Once it was behind the net Connolly headed off.

Do I have to take back all the
