Oh, good, the enforcer debate again.

It had been a couple days.

Meet me in the Kessel thread...I've got a new angle on Seguin's douchebag level being high enough to negate any positive contributions on the ice.

I needed a laugh, that was good.

I'll most likely react in the same manner when it is started again in a couple days.

There was a Star Trek episode like this. I forget how they escaped the loop. Something about the number three.

I believe the loop can now be escaped by proposing that Kaberle be converted to a center.  A broken debate will kill the cycle.

I can't believe Quinn didn't play Mogilny with Sundin.

Question....how do the vets help with the likes of a Chris Neil. I mean, he's not a enforcer, but he's certainly known to be a complete a$$hole and I don't think a Komarov or McClement fall into his category. So who protects Kadri or Kessel when Chris Neil decides to give him a whooping? Fraser on D is about the only guy I can think of.

The supposed solution for the Chris Neil type problem is very rarely out on the ice at the same time as the Chris Neils of the league. Their presence in the lineup certainly hasn't stopped the Chris Neils of the league from taking liberties with other teams' skilled players or stopped them from running their goalies. I mean, Orr and McLaren were both in the lineup on Saturday, and that didn't stop Neil from taking a pretty healthy run at Reimer, now did it?

Just asking is all. I could take or leave fighting.  I mean, I enjoy the good emotion filled fight as much as the next guy, but the staged fights are idiotic. I'm also not a big supporter of Orr or McLaren being in the line up either.

Well, I'd say the best way to deal with the Neils of the league is by not retaliating, letting them take stupid penalties and scoring on the ensuing powerplays.

EDIT: Oh, and, after scoring, making the crying baby motion towards them as you skate past their bench.

A think McCabe would make an excellent power forward. 8)

Lets put Phaneuf in front of the net on the powerplay!

DAE remember when he scored on his own net?  8)

This may be a dumb question, but how did we clinch already when winnepeg could also end up with 55 points and 1 more win then us?  Isn't wins the primary tiebreaker?

Regulation + OT wins (called ROW on the standings page) is the first tiebreaker.  None of the teams behind the Leafs can match their 25 ROW.

Thanks....just noticed that column now

Hey just getting in on the enforcer debate. NOT, the reason Frattin and Colburn arent in the line up is because they havent proven to the coach that they are going to be any better then the line with the enforces. That is whole debate. I love the fighting in the game but sorry until the kids either play better or practice better then Orr and Mclearn (sorry about the spelling) they are not going to get to play.

'Special K' line brewing for the future....

I'd even add Kulemin with Kadri and Kessel to give a defensive presence to that line.
