Game 10 - Pens @ Leafs - Saturday October 29th, 2011 - 19:00 EST - 4-3 Win

Dion rocks... Nice to see our captain have a great game in front of our former one... I'll bet Sundin is the happiest man in the building for him.

Grabo seems to be rounding into form along with Mac.

Kule however seems to be fighting the puck a bit, but he's still getting chances, working hard and positioning himself well, I have no doubt it will come for him.

Sure he can win. He can not get faked out by Malkin and block the shot. That's no harsher an expectation than expecting Liles to suddenly become great at clearing the crease.

My problem with Liles is that 1) he shouldn't be on the PK and 2) he just stood there and didn't even make an attempt.

On the replay Liles is all over the man on the other side of the crease.

Is he expected to defend 2 players?

I saw sort of the same thing on the replay. Liles is tentative on taking Kunitz because the third Pittsburgh forward(Neal?) needed to be covered as well. In retrospect he still should have gone after Kunitz and let Neal beat them if they had to but it's understandable.

When the goal is scored, he's just looking at the end boards in front, while that player shot the rebound in.

Well even if that's the case, there's no guarantee Schenn gets to that man either. It was a bang bang play.

Sure but when the shot is being taken he still doesn't know which way the puck is going to go and there's no time for him to react.  If he'd left his man to cover Komi's side when Komi went high (to cover a shooting lane that Grabbo was already in?) and Malkin has passed it over to his man for a tap in we'd really be firing up the grill for Liles.

I don't love the delay of game rule but, well, no arguing with a guy throwing the puck out of play I suppose.
